<title>MCS Staff Monthly Shop Run - Paused until 2026 Bike Season Starts</title>
    <link>https://www.mcs-scotland.co.uk/news/mcs-staff-monthly-shop-run-paused-until-2026-bike-season-starts</link>
<description>As many of you are aware, we always hit pause on our popular monthly staff shop runs for the Winterafter the October run.

Sadly this year, the September and October ones didn&#039;t go ahead due to the weather.

Despite this, thanks to you, once again the runs were a massive success with a tremendous amount of riders and pillionsturning up on for them.

So we&#039;d like to extend a huge thank you to every one who joined us on them. These Sundays are always marked by camaraderie, laughter and the thrill of getting out on some of Scotland&#039;s best roads which seemto make them so popular. And whether you joined us for one or all, we value your company and once more we had a fantastic time with you.

Again as we always do, we give a special shout out to our awesome volunteers who take a turn at leading or back marking. With being such a small team this support helps us out immensely on the day.

Stay tuned for our shop run updates in the Spring...

In appreciation

Lesley, Alun, Greg and Ross

With regret we have decided to cancel our September Staff Run due to the up to 40 mph winds forecast in the West of Scotland.

<title>Sunday 3rd August 2025 - The John &#039;Foggy&#039; Foster Memorial Run in aid of the Beatson Cancer Charity</title>
    <link>https://www.mcs-scotland.co.uk/news/sunday-3rd-august-2025-the-john-foggy-foster-memorial-run-in-aid-of-the-beatson-cancer-charity</link>
<description>The background to this years charity run...

Last year at this time John Foster, one of our good friends, major supporter of our shop and monthly shop runs, asked us if we could do our annual charity run for Beatson Cancer Charity as he had been receiving care for a number of years from the Beatson and wanted to give something back. However, as we had already been planning the one for Calums Cabin behind the scenes for a number of weeks we had to tell John that unfortunately it wasnt possible for 2024 but we would definitely do it for the next one in 2025.

Sadly, as someof you are aware, John passed away earlier this year.

So keeping our promise to him- this years charity bike run is therefore for Beatson Cancer Charity and being done in memory of John.

Run details:

Start point - MCS Motorcycles (KA3 6JT) 10am meeting for a 11am departure

Stop at Esso A82, Dumbarton G82 2AR (Lomondgate)- to meet additional riders/regroup

Finish Point - The Green Welly, Tyndrum FK20 8RY

125cc friendly route

Map Link:https://maps.app.goo.gl/ADhUMSeewqd4pwfB7

If using this please set your options to avoid motorways

10 voluntary charity donation is asked. You are more than welcome to give more generously should you wish to.

Can we ask that you please share this run with friends, come along if you can, meet new riders and help us raise funds for Beatson Cancer Charity in John&#039;s name.

It&#039;s with great sadness he won&#039;t be on the run but we know he&#039;ll definitely be with us in spirit.

    <link>https://www.mcs-scotland.co.uk/news/commute-in-comfort-with-free-accessory-pack-on-burgman-400</link>
    <description>
Riders looking to commute in comfort can do so for less when they buy a brand new Burgman 400, thanks to a free accessory pack worth nearly 1,000.

The Burgman 400 the original maxi scooter when it was launched in 1998 will come with a free 47-litre top box, hand guards, and heated grips from now until the end of March, 2025.

With a combined RRP of 966, the additional accessories add further commuting practicality to a maxi scooter that boasts a traction control system that adds an extra layer of security in slippery conditions. Theres also 42 litres of under seat storage, plus an additional 6.3 litres of storage thanks to compartments upfront, the right-hand side of which also houses a 12V socket for charging electronic devices.

Further aiding commuter comfort are cutaway footboards that make it easier for riders to get feet flat on the floor at a standstill, and a plush seat with adjustable lumbar support makes for a comfortable ride. LED running lights, headlights, and taillights provide excellent visibility.

Free Suzuki Heated Grips, Hand Guards and Top Box offer applies to the purchase of a new Burgman 400 only from participating Suzuki Dealerships. The purchase and registration of the motorcycle must take place between 31/01/2025 and 31/03/2025.
